Course Description

COMPLETE YOUR CEU'S (Continuing Education Units) TO RENEW YOUR GEORGIA CONTRACTOR LICENSE AT NGTC! This 4 our session will assist you in meeting the state's requirements to maintain your license. Once you complete the class, you will be provided with a certificate of completion for your records. 

The class will cover one or more of the following categories so that licensees can obtain the required hours of continuing education for the two-year renewal period.   The categories are:  

1. Codes and standards; 

2. Business law, insurance and finance; 

3. Safety and OSHA compliance; 

4. Materials and installation methods; and/or 

5. Theoretical content related to scientific knowledge for the practice of electrical contracting. 

Learner Outcomes

This class will satisfy up to 4 Hours of Continuing Education Units for Electrical Contractors that are required to complete as part of the license renewal process developed by the GA Construction Industry Licensing Board, Division of Electrical Contractors. 

The aim of continuing education is to enable electrical contractors to maintain and expand their competence to meet their obligation to provide ethical, effective, safe and competent services to their  employees, customers and the general public.  This information informs and places context to these requirements.

Under Georgia Law four (4) hours of continuing education is required per year for renewal of an electrical contractor’s license.  The Board is charged with establishing what constitutes acceptable continuing education and procedures necessary for license renewal.
